Biomes and Plant and Animal Adaptions (Extension Activity)
Task (Note you will have 3 x 1 hour sessions to complete the task)
Using the internet and/ or library books complete the following:
1.
Investigate the different biomes of the world. Your choice
Create a song (be prepared to perform it or be videoed performing it an have it shown to the class, a poem (at least 3 x 5 line verses poem, song should have at least 4 versus and a chorus , book, poster ,brochure, power point or photo story which provides clear information about each biome that can be found on Earth.

Choose a plant and an animal from different biomes and research how they have adapted to their environments.
Using the internet and / or library books complete the following:
Your choice
Create a song, poem, book, brochure, power point or photo-story which provides clear information about each NB
All work should be acknowledged e.g. websites you have used and books title and author.
You will be marked on:
1. Presentation- spelling, neatness.
2. Depth of information I would expect to see an elaboration of at least 5 facts about each biome or 10 facts about each animal and its adaption.
3. Song / poem must be original work (composed by you!) although you could use a known tune to sing to.
4. All other work should be acknowledged e.g. websites you have used and books title and author.
